ODAAT
You're listening to the One Day at a time podcast. I'm your host, Kyle Logue. My purpose is to help as many people as I can break out of negativity and poverty, so they can live a life by their own design. This podcast is designed to show you exactly what it takes to be successful and get what you fucking deserve. There's no fluff, no bullshit, just real people who turned a negative into a positive by taking life one day at a time. I've seen it good. I've seen the bad. I've thought about days I couldn't get back. I couldn't even relax until I started taking life. One day at a time. Used to let them tell me. No, no, no. But I'll let them tell me. No, no, no. I took back control. Made my life mine. Let me teach you how to do the same thing. One day at a time. All right. What is up other nation? We are back with another episode of the One Day at a time podcast, better yet known as Oda. So today I want to talk about failing. This is something I've talked about before, and it's something I'll probably talk about again. But people give failing such a bad rep, you know, or failing rather get such a bad rep. Or, you know, people are so fucking terrified to fail. They're so afraid. They're, you know, and it stops them from ever taking action. It stops them from really even getting started because they just don't want to fail. And I think when we really break it down and we go deeper, like, why are people so afraid of failure? It's because they're afraid of what people will think. They're afraid that they'll look foolish. They're afraid that all those fucking haters and naysayers, they'll point their fingers, laugh and say, I told you so. But if that's really what it is, if you break it down, that's what it is. And you're so fucking afraid of what another man thinks that you're not going to do what you really want to do in life. What the fuck is the point, man? It's it's life is so short. It really is. I mean, I'm sure most people listen, when you've lost somebody, you know, it fucking blink of an eye. Shit can fucking change. And if you're going to live your whole life just afraid of fucking what other people think, what's the point? Seriously, what's the fucking point? Because it's too short to hold yourself back as you short to chase your dreams. Now, the other day I spoke in an event BGST24 for my friend Doug Mitchell's event here in San Antonio, and one of the guys there asked a question. He's a younger kid, and he asked, he goes, you know, I could tell by looking at him too. This is facial expressions, tonality. The reason he asks this question is because he was struggling with himself, and obviously that's why anyone asks a question. But he the question he asked, I don't remember exactly what he said, but basically what's your why? What's your motivation? What keeps you going? And I could tell he wanted to quit. He's on the verge of quitting. And I mean, it's hard when you first start. It's fucking hard. You don't see the instantaneous results. You don't see those instant wins. You do the work for a little bit and you're not seeing it. There's no measurable fucking results in. You're like, what the fuck is the point? Everyone's laughing at me. Whatever. I'm worried what people think. And like I mentioned before. Results are guaranteed. They're going to come. Whether you take no action, you're going to get a certain result where you take massive action, you're going to get a result. But if you keep taking the right actions, and even if they don't have to be the perfect fucking action. But if you take positive actions for long enough for in your consistent with it, you're going to see results. It's like you hit the gym, you can't go to the gym one fucking day and eat good for one day or even a month and see a fucking crazy difference. It takes time. It takes time. It's like it's like a seed. You plant a seed, it doesn't look like it's fucking doing anything. You know? Jesus talked about the mustard seed having the faith, the mustard seeds, the smallest fucking seed there is, but it ends up growing to be one of the biggest fucking trees there is. And it's just through faith. It's through faith of just planting that seed and watering it, watering it and doing the work, doing the work, not seeing the results and just pushing through literally every time my life that I felt like quitting, every time that I felt like throwing in the towel and I didn't and I persevered, I saw results. But every time I threw in the towel and I quit and I decided, fuck this, I'm going to pivot and do something else and chase that nice, uh, shiny object that looks so much easier. What happened was I regretted it and it happened every time. If you quit, you're gonna fucking regret it. So don't let failure make you quit. Failure is just part of the process. And, you know, I mean, we we all fail. We all feel all the time. I literally said I was gonna do a 30 day live stream and I failed. I failed that day of the event. I didn't make time for it. And I could come up with a bunch of excuses and bullshit on why I didn't do it. But that's what happened. I didn't fucking do it. That's all that matters. But what is so much more important than quitting or failing at whatever we're doing is getting the fuck back up, getting back up, putting yourself out there again and again and again, as many times as it fucking takes to get what you want. Because like I said, life's too fucking short not to. I mean, my biggest fear, going back to the question that guy asked, he said, what keeps you motivated? And I said, a big part of me, especially when I was first starting, um, and even now. So one of my big motivators is I don't want to be an old man, be on my deathbed, look back with a life full of regrets, and be like, fuck, man, I wish I did that. What if I did that and just not fucking? No you don't. I mean, how awful would that be? Being on your deathbed, being old man and just not knowing. You know, some people can be like, oh, I, you know, I could have been you'd be a should have been, could have been, should have been, would have been, you know, you'd be someone like, oh, I could have done that if X didn't happen or I could have done that. But you know, whatever happened and you know, it's it's crazy. I don't want to be that fucking person more than anything because that that sounds fucking terrifying to me, because deep down, those people that say that shit, those people that have those excuses on why they didn't make it, why they're not successful, they know the real reason. The real reason is them. There's no fucking excuse or anything. They can hold you back as long as you have ears to hear and eyes to fucking see, and you're able to get up today and fucking get after it. And what's holding you back? More likely it's just you. Because to be honest with you, those fucking people, those people that so many people are fucking worried about what they'll say and what they'll think. They don't give a fuck. They don't give a fuck about you. Your life, your dreams, your vision, your goals. You know, one of my favorite quotes is people want you to do good. They just don't want you to do better than them. And like, they might care. They might might say a little bit. They might say some little fucking offhand comments or whatever. Um, but they're going to make a lot more fucking offhand comments, like if you just never did it. And like, it really doesn't fucking matter, dude. It doesn't matter. So get after it. Pick what you want to fucking do. Like I talked about all the time, just have your goal in mind and write down fucking. What are you going to do today? Just pick one thing today. What are you going to do today to get up, get after it and make it happen? Because I promise you it. Even if you don't see the results right away, it's going to work. So keep putting in that work, keep getting after it, just one day at a time and that's all you can do. All you can control is today. So make today a little bitch. Fucking dominate that shit and get that much closer to your goals. And I'll see you guys all at the top.
